Introducing you to the teachers here at HLR Dance Academy...

Miss Hope

PRINCIPAL

Having danced from a very early age, it was clear to see that dance was always going to be Hope’s passion. Training at Susan Robinson School of Ballet from the age of 6, Susan Robinson was Hope’s motivation to teach at such an early age.

Moving full time to performing arts college at The Arts Educational School London from the age of 14 through to sixth form. Hope furthered her knowledge of commercial dance by joining DS Performing Arts for 6 months mentored by Nigel Clarke, who was inspirational to Hope, pushing her past her boundaries and encouraging the creative side of her commercial choreography that Hope now passes onto her students.

Hope has been privileged to have been asked to dance at the Royal Opera house with the Bolshoi and Kirov ballet companies. Hope has also danced at the Woking Ambassador theatre with the Northern Ballet Company, Windsor Panto, Dance Proms and as Dancer in Michael McIntyre Christmas Special.Qualified ISTD teacher in Tap and Modern. Qualified coach for Module 1 in Acrobatic Arts Qualified teacher in PBT

Miss Hope is our main teacher and is our Company team choreographer.

Miss Laura

ACRO TEACHER

Having danced from the age of 3 Laura’s passion for the sport was apparent. As a child she achieved multiple regional and national titles in dance conventions and gymnastics competitions, as well as working professionally in multiple pantomimes and recording vocals for various artists. Laura was then able to continue her dance training at a more competitive level when she commenced her studies at The Arts Educational Schools London aged 11.

After achieving her A Levels, she then went on to train professionally at The Brighton Academy gaining a first-class honours degree in Musical Theatre. 2 months after graduating Laura moved abroad to perform as a dancer in the Parades and Shows at Disneyland Paris which she has just recently returned from.

Laura is a qualified ISTD, British Arts, and Acrobatic Arts Teacher and will be joining us to teach Acro classes at HLR Dance Academy.

Miss Millie

COMPANY ASSISTANT, WARDROBE AND GUEST TEACHER

Millie started dancing at the tender age of 2 years old and trained in Modern, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Commercial and Musical Theatre at Summerscales Performing Arts.

Throughout her early training, Millie successfully competed in the ISTD Modern, Tap and Ballet Awards and whilst competing at festivals, Millie also danced at The Royal Albert Hall, Sadler’s Wells and at Disneyland Paris, achieving gold medals at both All England National Finals and the Dance World Cup. Millie furthered her training at Bird College, London, and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. She has always had a love for teaching and is fully qualified through the ISTD in both Modern Theatre and Tap Dance.

Millie has previously taught at multiple local dance schools, and is currently an A-Level Dance and Performing Arts teacher at Woking College.
